Witch Moon Witch Camp : 9-11 May 2008The soul of our rituals is in the rhythm of the drum. The Witch Moon retreat is a chance to explore some of most interesting and traditional practices of witchcraft : shape-shifting, psychic divination, the development of ritual practice, and using the primal tools of the Witch; drum, dance and trance. Moving ourselves into the bush and the relative comfort of Rainbows Reach Retreat we will spend two days and two nights immersing ourselves in the ways of the Witch. Wearing catskins, fox pelts, horned antlers and totemic masks, Witches of old have long employed the outer symbols of the inner ways of knowing the animal powers, or Familiar Spirits. I invite you to join us in the traditional rites of Witchcraft and initiate your journey in a 'participation mystique' of the forgotten powers. The Witch Moon retreat will be run by four experienced facilitators, offering a variety of techniques drawn from their own practices. The retreat is an opportunity to master your ritual skills in conjunction with visionary trance techniques and an introduction to dream symbol immersion. Your progress over the weekend will be supported by four dedicated practitioners who have worked collaboratively to make this event possible.
